Royal pastry chefs have shared their recipe for the fruit scone that is served at royal residences across the UK. The recipe, which was shared on The Royal Family's official Instagram, is a summer tradition at Buckingham palace . To make the scones at home, you will need the following ingredients. 2 cups of flour, 2tbsp of baking powder, 3/8 cup of butter, ¼ cup of sugar, 2 eggs, ½ cup of buttermilk, and ½ a cup of sultanas . Traditionally the scones would then be served with clotted cream and a fruit jam of your choice. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees before mixing the flour, baking powder, butter, and sugar together in a bowl. Whisk the eggs and buttermilk together in a separate bowl before adding it to the crumb mixture. Add the sultanas and mix the dough, until it is smooth, before leaving it to rest for roughly 30 minutes. Roll the dough to a thickness of two and a half centimeters, and cut into your desired shape. Gently egg wash the top of the scones and bake for 10 - 12 minutes, until they are golden brown
