Apple Forced To Reduce iPhone 13 Production

00:01:00

Apple’s iPhone 13 is reportedly the latest new tech product to be impacted by the global chip shortage. According to a report from Bloomberg, the company is slashing its iPhone 13 manufacturing goals by around 11%. Apple originally planned to produce 90 million iPhone 13s by the end of 2021 but will now aim for approximately 80 million. The reduction is caused by supply issues with chips from Broadcom and Texas Instruments. The reduction means that the iPhone 13 will be harder to find in stores and online in the coming months. Apple CEO Tim Cook had previously warned that the company might see chip supply issues.
