The card game, manga, and Anime series are created followed by the first Pokemon store. Pokemon goes international and the first movie briefly holds the record for highest-grossing animated film. Pikachu becomes the franchise’s mascot and Ash Ketchum creates the dream to become a Pokémon Master. As of 2014 over 260 million games and 21.5 billion tradings cards have been sold. An April fools joke becomes the largest mobile game in history, with people taking to the streets to catch their favorite Pokemon.
